Paint on an inflatable - does it work?

I have a PVC (I think) inflatable that has no leaks but has a lot of black on its white fabric and the fabric on the upper parts is showing some of the thread base cross-hatch. I'd like to give it some longer life. Has anyone used the Eco-Tuff Renew paint or the Flexthane paint for dinghies? Do they work?

Any aerospace polyurethane will act as a coating for a dingy but it is probably too pricey for most budgets.

I used the inflatable coating from West... worked fine for a few years, then fell off in patches
