Okay for salt water use?

Saw this on CL- looks good but I don't yet have a sense of what is fresh water specific...

Sea Eagle 10.5 Inflatable

Hit me with opinions.

Thanks,

I actually bought a new dinghy today but need to power it.

The "real" question in my original post was:

Since I will be buying a used outboard- how can I tell if it is appropriate for salt water use? I thought I read that some are fresh water specific and will corrode quickly...

Thanks,
J

Never heard of that

You do need to run a saltwater used one through fresh water at fairly frequent intervals.

The only outboard I've ever heard of that was for use only in fresh water was a Briggs and Stratton model.
