Ofer, I understand you want to buy one from a near by dealer but if you have any questions, just email me through my website. I love talking about these things!

Pretty useless to reason with someone that can't tell the difference between the two, but then calling me a hypocrite made no sense either.
If a 2 stroke dumps 30% of it's tank... I wonder why I'm not covered with fuel after I use my weed wacker or chain saw?

On a another front, aren't the Evinrude ETEC engines computer controlled 2 strokes? Aren't they still being sold?

Cheechako, don't pay attention to this guy, he must have failed math, chemistry, physics, common sense in school to come up with these ridiculous numbers!

I think most give CF posters the benefit of the doubt until the stupid starts.

Thank you! yeah I needed it today. I also like to check it out and return it should major issues arise after this weekend.

I will try to let you know how it functioned by next week.

My 1990's 3hp yammie was dealer serviced only once. By a yammie dealer who, I think, had never worked on an o/b smaller than 150hp. $250 later I fixed it myself - put new membranes in the fuel pump for $20. In the abacos it was running roughly and wouldn't idle. I stopped at the local yammie repairman who was also working on a 150. Said he coudn't get to my engine for another week, but suggested I clean out BOTH carb jets and see if that worked. I didn't even know it had two jets. But I did what he said and it's run great ever since. Engines probably going on 15+ years, all in salt water...
