I have been raising my 8 foot Walker Bay by lines attached to the three corners. Making a tripod that I hooked to a block and tackle After doing this for over a year I noticed the Dinghy
starting to buckle( it got wider between the seats) I ended up putting a Ubolt through the gunnel where the center seat is and now have 6 lines distributing the weight. The Gunnell dimples where the U bolts are but it seems to be all that's going to happen. If I had to do it again I would probably use eye bolts replacing two of the bolts in the center seat. And maybe in the backseat too moving the force away from the stern.
