Maritimpower 2.5 4-stroke outboard.

Hi all!

I have a Maritimpower 2.5 Hp 4-stroke outboard.

Does anyone recognize this ?

I will need a new fuel tank but searching the net I can not find any producer or spare parts. The outboard came with the boat so I am not to blame to have such an odd thing.

You might want to find out who produced in reality the engine, then go to the original manufacturer. If a motor has a similar form than yours, there's a chance it's the same just rebranded and it's worth checking the diagram for it.

You might need something like this:

The above is the tank for a Yamaha 4 stroke. Here are some pictures to check if the internals look familiar:

Start looking at Suzuki 2.5 hp engines. They are the factory for the 2.5 hp 4 stroke engines that you find with all other names on the cover. The market is to small for this model, so most brands conclude agreements for manufacturing and then relabelling.

Thanks all who answered with suggestions.

I may try to repair the tank myself.
The tank looks nothing like what I have seen on the net.
It is situated at the rear of the engine, not as most others in the front end.

That tank looks like a good candidate for plastic welding.

The one on your picture looks like the Yamaha 2.5 hp 4s one:

WOW, How great Cruisers Forum is. The tank in the picture is identical to the one I need. Thanks so much.

Now, the only thing left is finding a dealer here in Las Palmas that can supply me with it. It's probably a better solution than welding the old one since it's been exposed to UV as can be seen on the pictures.

Try the local Yamaha mechanico in the marina. If you can't find it locally in reasonable amount of time and have time to wait a little. consider ordering it in China: Ali Express (Double check if this is the correct one)

As an alternative, give the French guys in my first link a call. If shipping is only 10 or 12 €, it might be worth it. Same with asking in a friendly chandlery.
