Honda bf15 rough running sometimes. Failed coil?

My Honda bf15 is running rough sometimes. It doesn't sound for me like a carbourator/fuel issue. Is it a failed coil?

Hmmm.

Squirt some starter fuel in the air intake while it's running. If it roars, you've got a fuel problem. If not, explore the electrical side.

Would suspect the fuel, as being the primary problem. Are you running ethanol fuel? Possibly the fuel is old or some water in the bottom of tank.

Do you have a dirty inline filter?

If you drain the carb bowl, did any "junk" or water come out in the collected fluid? If dirty or water, look in bottom of tank for water/junk and clean. May need to take carb off and clean bowl, etc. If that is clean, then move on to next item.

Check fuel hose and tank connection. Does the priming bulb pump up and stay firm? If not possible air leak. Is your tank, vent working properly?

Have shown in the past, that the grey fuel lines can deteriorate internally/ collapse the plastic liner thus limiting fuel to the motor.
