Help with hypalon tube coming unglued on the hull

Hi all,

I'm helping a friend fixing his dinghy. The hypalon tube come unglued where it attaches to the aluminum hull. The unglued part is about 10cm long.

What glue should be used to fix it? What is the procedure?

I have never done it before, so your help will be very welcome!

Rema Tip-Top SC2000 or SC4000 is the go to glue for Hypalon, and will bond well to aluminium. It is commonly available from industrial suppliers. You don't mention your location, so specific advice is difficult re suppliers.

Follow the instructions carefully.

Thanks! We're in the Caribbean. We are trying with 3M 5200. We'll see if it works tomorrow.

How did the 5200 work out for you? I have the same issue and want a long term solution.

3M5200 will work, but it takes a very long time to set up, and you do not want to immerse it before it has set up. It has to be fully cured before you get it wet.

Bostik makes a glue that could work, but it is very easily wrecked by having too humid conditions. You'd need to have a dry room to do it.
