Ditch bags.....ACR Rapid Ditch, Revere.....or something else? Opinions?

I got an ACR Rapid Ditch bag as a gift but the vendor sent me the Revere "Survivor" bag by accident. ACR seems to be the more expensive of the two in general, but I'm not sure if that is just a brand popularity issue or something else unrelated to quality. I can keep the Revere or they will send me an ACR.....thoughts or experiences, negative or positive with either?

Re: Ditch bags.....ACR Rapid Ditch, Revere.....or something else? Opinions?

I bought a ACR EPIRB last month and they are sending me a ditch bag so I'll have first hand knowledge on it shortly. I did see one at their booth and it looks like a real well made item. I don't know about the Revere but I'll bet its fine also. Personally I'd insist on what was promised and send the Revere bag back.

Re: Ditch bags.....ACR Rapid Ditch, Revere.....or something else? Opinions?

Our ACR rapid ditch bag has been with us for around 4 years. In all of that time it's never been used for its intended purpose (luckily), been tossed around, shoved and stowed, and been forgotten about until it was covered in mildew stains. It's been washed twice and each time it ends up looking factory fresh.

It's a very well built.bag with plenty of storage compartments for all sorts of items you'll think you'll want in it - in the event you'll need to use it in anger. It's a real hold all of plenty.

I'd revert and demand they sent you what you asked for!

Re: Ditch bags.....ACR Rapid Ditch, Revere.....or something else? Opinions?

I have the ACR Rapid Ditch bag as well. Knock on wood, I have never had to use it. I actually have the express model (smaller bag). As far as quality I am very happy with it. It has a lot of internal pockets and lanyards that make organizing the bag easy. The larger model has the same.

I couldn't find any photos of the inside of the Revere. If it doesn't have pockets, straps and lanyards on the inside I would go with the ACR.

The a revere has some mesh pockets...no lanyards....and no integral tether.
