I would say for most of the ICW, Virginia to Fl, towing is not an issue.. EXCEPT on the open water stretches (Chesapeake, Pamlico etc)

I tow mine along side of my sail boat. That way the painter can't get caught in the prop. Down here in Miami it is common to see dinghies in tow. BTW, my dinghy is an Apex inflatable.
