Delphinus Inflatable or West Marine ?

Anyone have any experience with delphinus inflatables or west marine brand. I am looking to cruise the Keys and maybe Bahamas this winter and have limited funds. These two brands seem to be the least expensive that will accept my 15 horse outboard. My sailboat is 26 feet with no room on deck for a rigid boat so inflatable is the only way to go for me. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: delphinus inflatable or west marine?

Hi Dave:
If you want to take advantage of your 15hp motor, you'll want a dinghy with a rigid bottom so it can get onto plane. Many inflatables have rigid hulls (aluminum, fiberglass, abs), and hypalon tubes will generally last longer than pvc tubes. I'm sure others will have more specific recommendations (I have a walker bay genesis inflatable 8.5'...love it).
