Cruisair SMXir Winter Settings

During the winter and while being away from the boat, I want to set my Cruisair SMXir to start heating only if the air temperature drops to a level where there is risk of freezing, eg. 40°F / 5°C.

However the system does not seem to allow a set-point below 60°F / 15°C.

Is there a way the unit can be re-programmed to allow a lower set-point?

Any other ideas or suggestions?
