Bill we painted our dinghy some time ago with rubberised paint and it was a big flop. The top of the tubes rubbed off almost instantly, as we got in and out of the dinghy, but the hull side is bearing up quite well. We would never recommend painting the dinghy again and will always cover the tubes with chaps in future. This of course is more expensive but we have found the cover a great protector and easy to keep clean.

Re: Cleaner for Hypalon inflatable (Achilles)

I see a few people have posted about using acetone.
Acetone should not be used on any dinghy fabric, as it will destroy the fabric long term.
Yes it will make the dinghy look new, but then ultimately it will go sticky in time and and the rubber fabric will start to break down - believe me I have experienced the hard way.

Also acetone may dissolve the hyapalon glue at the seams

The LSI 260E has similar specs to the older. L 88 should be close enough for what you need http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?...288&id=2586357

Based on this tip, it worked wonders on a 2007 Avon 310 RIB, and I mean wonders...thanks. I bought the extra strength one with two sponges. Better than hitting the fabric and seams with a solvent.
