Chinese-Made Aquapro RIBs

I love my old 8' Aquapro, but it wouldn't fit my family anymore. It's time to upsize.

I am considering a larger Aquapro, but not sure how reliable they are now, after the production moved from New Zeland to China in 2005. Based on what I read online, there had been quality control issues initially, i.e. seams breaking apart, warranty problems etc. I suspect that the quality has improved since then.

Anyone care to share their experience on new Aquapros?

I am trying to decide getting either Aquapro SMR1001 (hypalon) or AB UL10, both have aluminum hulls, except the Aquapro is painted white and AB is bare metal.
