Change A yamaha 2hp impeller

Hello i have a 2002 yamaha 2hp 2 stroke engine. I believe the impeller is old and id like to check on it and maybe replace it needed. i have removed the lower gearcase and have removed the bolts securing the water pump">raw water pump housing to the engine, however, when i try to slide the housing upwards to expose the impeller it only moves about 1 inch then comes to a dead stop. is there a bolt or something that i have to remove in order to slide the housing up the shaft?
