Between all of them you would think they find the problem.

I think maybe it was at low speed. It had laid over on its side and begun to suck some crankcase oil through the breather and running slow when it fell in.
Everything was full of salt water, crankcase and both cylinders. Took about a half hour or more before I got it aboard the big boat and flushed out the water from the cylinders with fresh etc and got it running again. Had to dry the plugs with alcohol to get them firing. Several oil flushes and of course a good soap and water wash later and it runs fine, so far

Re: Anyone with the new Suzuki DF15A or DF20A Outboard?

It is amazing there is not someone in a company as large as Suzuki that can be contacted who has the authority to replace the motor.
Sheesh!!

There is more and more advertising of company's customer service (just listen to the messages while on hold!!) and less and less real customer service.

Sometime a previously reported problem, one reported prior to warranty end date will be still under warranty.
In the US anyway.
You need if possible to try to find a way to get this to Suzuki's attention, I don't know how to do that though.

I wonder whether any good citizen managed to scan the Owner's Manual?

I'm toying with getting the Service Manual from iOffer but it is way over the top for my needs.

Unfortunately, I think that manual is for the 2005 model, and is think it’s quite different, likely not fuel injected etc.

Yeah, that service manual is for the previous (DF15) model, not the current (DF15A) fuel-injected version.

The owners manual link looks right, though.

Re: Anyone with the new Suzuki DF15A or DF20A Outboard?

I just bought the DF15ATHL from OnlineOutboards. Very good to deal with. If in stock? Will ship same day. I got electric start and power tilt. I have a bad shoulder. I have only a few hours on it. Starts great, idles good. It has a rev limiter and it keeps the rpm's at bay. I think it will be a great motor once it's broke in. I had a DF90A best motor I ever owned.
