What is it?

What is this thing on the leech of my mainsail? It's pretty small, about 2 inches in overall length max. It is near the bottom, probably somewhat close to the reefing point.

You see the light line exiting the leech tabling? That is your leach line, you tighten it till the leach stops fluttering, then pull it through the little jam cleat there, and the cleat will hold the tension you have set.

It is a cleat for the leech line.
