Surface Pitting on Clevis Pins

Hello folks. I'm re-rigging an Alajuela 38. Most of the 5/8 clevis pins have a bit of surface pitting. I realize that on swages or tangs or jaws this would be unacceptable but I'm wondering if there may be a little life left with the clevis pins. Wishful thinking?

Thanks!

Tom

Re: Surface pitting on clevis pins

A little pitting, myself wouldn't worry. Pin shear strengths are/or use to be 6:1. Never seen a sheared clevis pin B4. If they are bent a little then replace for sure.
