Sun Odyssey,Front Anchor Roller.

Greetings, Anybody know the company; KOTNIZ, "The jeweler of Marine Hardware" in Poland? They are the manufacturer of Anchor pulpits for Jeanneau. My SO 36i has a front roller hinge. The front roller has a bolt with a sleeve, the bolt utilizes a Cap/Nut fastener or Male/Female screw.

Jeanneau, USA, Parts diagram, does not include the front Roller hinge bracket. I can't find the Cap/Nut fastener for the Bolt. Machine shop wants to charge over $180 for the cap/nut. The picture shows the Fastener I'm looking for. Looks like a Flat head screw, but its not. Does the job of a hex nut, which is to thick to permit the hinge roller bracket to work.

Thanks,

Alex

Socket head cap screw, stainless, probably metric. You need to pull one to get the diameter, pitch, length.

Are you a member of Jeanneau Owners Network Forum? if not join and ask there - over 5k Jeanneau members and a lot of experience who may be able to help - we have a DS40 and replaced our roller but that was a while ago and forgot what we did - I think I got it from Jeanneau USA but not sure - as Gilles and Jeanneau USA and he is a master at finding out what you need and if he can sources it or where you can source it

Re: Sun Odyssey,Front Anchor Roller.

Why do you need to replace one? They are not expensive. If it has a slightly different sized head, I would not worry too much about filing/grinding the new one down if too tall. It is the shank that is critically loaded in shear. If the one that you pull is partially threaded, you may have luck looking for a longer screw - which are often partially threaded - and cutting to size and if necessary using a die to add some threads. Finally, this is likely an application where you want to use a thread lock compound. And why taking the existing screw out may be a little difficult.
