Stainless Wind Indicators--more bird resistant?

Niro Peterson makes a picey one (Germany) and you can't easily get it here inthe US.

But there seem to be many on Amazon. Any experiences? I'd be willing to give up a little sensitivity.

Re: Stainless Wind Indicators--more bird resistant?

I rather suspect Niro Peterson exist in the world where people don't add bits of plastic to their boats Drew. Similarly they're probably not the sort of boat owners to ever look at Amazon or Alibaba. I expect they have underlings selecting/organising the appropriate gear and arranging its acquisition/install by appropriately trained technicians etc for their yachts.

I'd guess too that the firm is likely to regard super yacht builders as their main market too.

But send them an email directly. My experience has been German and Austrian firms are helpful and responsive. And they're quite comfortable selling direct.

Re: Stainless Wind Indicators--more bird resistant?

^^ All true.

I was hoping someone would comment on experience with the Amazon versions. They look like pretty simple stampings, something that could be economical without being cheap.
