Re: Spinaker Sheet Blocks to rear cleat

I had my sailmaker sew a couple of loops of nylon webbing. They were attached to the aft cleats by passing one end of the loop through the cleat's eye and back through the webbing loop itself. The blocks were snatch blocks, so they clipped on to the secured webbing loops. I suspended the blocks a little above the caprail with a length of cording to keep them from striking it when in use.

I have used that approach and it is what I was going to suggest. However, it is even simpler to purchase spectra webbing slings from a climbing equipment manufacturer. They are available in many lengths.

Dyneema loops seem to be the rage. if theres chafe at the shackle could you put a small block on it so the rope goes around it?

What, precisely, are you trying to do or intend to achieve?

Re: Spinnaker Sheet Blocks to Rear Cleat

just relocating rearmost spinnaker turning blocks from metal structures to the rear cleats...

Mark - thought it might be that easy. I'll try.
