Should I Grease My Balls...? Roller Reefing Question.

I've taken off my roller furling main to be repaired / replaced.

What routine maintenance / checks should I do of the furling mechanism?

Can I inspect / grease bearings?

It's an in-mast system, Selden I think, with the typical Archimedes screw type of mechanism below the boom.

The line that feeds into this snags and I will replace it...

The sail jams when unfurling, which I think is due to bagginess.

I would check with SWMBO first!
