I recently acquired this set up for my 46 footer. I love the
code zero and highly recommend one.
However, unfurling continues to be a challenge. The biggest is, almost on every unfurl, the torque on the tack spins the drum around and wraps the
furling lines around the tack 2 or 3 wraps in the blink of an eye. The resistance needed on the
furling line to prevent this from happening seems excessive. The line is supposed to release inside the drum so the sail furls out freely without having to manage the furling line. But achieving that is evasive.
Am considering adding a cx-GX swivel adapter which will turn it into a true top down
furler. The cx furls from the bottom first then the AT cable will start wrapping from top after a number of turns. That's what's creating all the torque.
Anyone with experience with this set up that might have some
advice?
