rigging screws stuck - cut stay?

Hi,
I am about to change my rig, and have discovered the rigging screws/threads ar not able to budge. All good advice has been tried, and havecome to the conclusion that the side stays need to be removed in other way.

Option 1: knock out the clevis pin holding rig screws to deck mounting (suspect there will be issues with pressure on the pin)

Option 2: cut the wire or rigging bolt.

My concern is: cutting rig screw/wire, will the wire stay act like a broken guitar string and potentialy cause injury - or how wil it behave?

Cut the wire or the turnbuckle. Put a lashing on the wire above where you intend to cut, and then secure down to the deck to take some of the strain out of the wire.

When you install the new rigging, put anti galling paste on the turnbuckle threads to prevent same problem in the future.
