Rigger In Northern Virginia
Does anyone know of a rigger in Northern Virginia, possibly in Manassas?
TIA

Re: Rigger In Northern Virginia
Are you looking for a marine rigger or a general rigger? If you want a boat rigger, you need to go where the boats are docked. And not too many are docked in Manassas. What specifically are you after?

Sailboat rigger.
I had heard there was a rigger operating out of Manassas or somewhere in Northern Virginia, which wouldn't be far away.

Ask Potomac Sailmaker's in Alexandria.
Otherwise, I would figure on Annapolis or Deale, MD.

Check the yards at Deltaville. Krentz at Callao may still be operating. They would know who is up in the Neck

Re: Rigger In Northern Virginia
But honestly, it is hard enough to find an engine mechanic anywhere on the Potomac. If you are in NOVA and looking for a rigger, your best bet is Annapolis (with multiple options). I still can’t figure how a rigger could operate out of Manassas without putting many miles on his mobile van workshop.

Re: Rigger In Northern Virginia
I highly recommend Keith Horn in Deltaville, if you don't mind going that far. He did a nice job on re-rigging our boat and he is pleasant to work with.
Krentz Marine Railway in Callao is still in operation, but they don't have a rigger. They do have a good mechanic.

It appears that Furling & Rigging [Manassa, VA] fabricate lifelines & standing rigging; but don't install.
However: “We can help locate a marina or independent rigger ...”

We used harney this summer to replace our standing rigging. He did a great job. I have no complaints, and would recomend him as well
