Question about making a series drogue

I want to make a series drogue, what is the recommended material for the cones and the straps on the cones that connect it to the main line.

Search here on the forum for Jordan drogue with posts by Seaworthy Lass & Dockhead. They have both done a bunch of construction and testing and written a lot of posts/provided detailed information on their design choices and construction details.
