Re: Looking to buy: plastic cover/sheath to cover my shrouds up to 6ft up.
Listen to the warnings! The close-fitting shroud covers allow dirt and moisture to accumulate, leading to green growth and corrosion beneath. They are a very bad idea, as I can confirm from experience. Do not use them - let the stainless be exposed so it can protect itself.
These are the ones to use, they don't break down in the sun. The theory of corrosion inside a tight cover is a good theory, but I have almost always seen the worst corrosion at the uncovered end fittings anyway.
But do you really want them?

Re: Looking to buy: plastic cover/sheath to cover my shrouds up to 6ft up.
On the lifelines around my deck area, the stainless wires are plastic covered. (easier on hands)Some were covered with a white plastic which has basically disintegrated over the years. Some of the covers were replaced using garden black irrigation tubing. It is essentially indestructible. When I had metal wire rigging I used the same stuff. Cheap and lasts forever. The trick is to put it on prior to doing any swaging as the slitting of the tubing is a pain. Only comes in black though.

I installed
D-Line Cable Spiral Wrap | Cable Management ... - Amazon.com
on my shrouds 45 feet up in 2016. 30000nm and still there, still flexible and slippery.

I’m with the group against putting anything around stainless steel. It’s trouble in at least 3 ways and it’s simply not true that uncovered stainless steel is worse off than covered
