I know this was years ago, but did you ever find a reasonable fabricator? I'm looking too, and got one outraous quote.

There was a South African guy that did some really beautiful work on some boats at Just Cats that I saw last year. Nice guy. Knows his stuff. I don't have his info here. But, Rafe at Just Cats can point you to him. He's not super expensive buy he's also not super cheap.
