On all of the scows that I have raced we have had colors to differentiate the controls. The vang is always red. If your beating to weather and the boat is starting to heal up high. Release the red.

It also helps with new crew. Pull the yellow(cunningham). ease the blue main travelor.

Just something I found. For our lines I'll just have to make sure my wife approves of the colors, but yeah, color coding for me. Many great suggestions here.
