I'm leaving my boat in AK this winter. There are many days of very high wind and I'm stowing my sails. I've spent many a night in a marina with empty furler foils whipping in the wind on other boats. Does anyone have a tip on how to keep my harken foil quiet in higher winds?

I tie a long line to the swivel, haul it up the foil, and spin the foil to spiral wrap the line down the foil. What works best can be specific to the details of the mast.
Wrap the halyard around it a few times and belay to the tack on the furling drum, or elsewhere on deck below. Tension halyard. This has the added bonus of stopping your halyard from vibrating and slapping against the mast, if that's where you store it.
