Hi all,
3 weeks ago I had a visit from
Hurricane Earl here in the US
Virgin Islands. There were approximately 40 boats put on the beach or sunk in 50-70kts of
wind.
My
boat Shanti was tucked away in the mangroves. For about 3 hours Shanti was pushed into some mangrove trees with the synthetic
rigging chafing on the trees. Needless to say, the trees
lost. It was a real torture test for the rig and the Dynex dux survived wonderfully with just a little bit of fuzz after 3 hours or so.

Cheers,
Gary
