How Big of an A-Sail

Im considering adding an a-sail to play around with on my us 30. It will be a used sail as although I have champange tastes I still have a beer budget. I do have an atn tacker that came with the boat and will use a sock. How big do I want a cruisng a-sail to be. The boat calls for a symetrical spinaker with a luff of 38 a foot of 22 and 730 feet of sail.
That seems like a lot of sail to handle by ones self.
