help finding a part- toggle

Anyone know where to source a replacement for this toggle? Pin sizes are 1/2". The key parameter is the material thickness, as there isn't room for more than about .130". Used for the upper termination of headstay and backstay on pacific seacraft 37, LeFiell mast. That and the working load, hopefully stronger than 5/16" or 8mm wire, and not a number commonly advertised from what I can find.

Found something- from a company called Rig Rite
K-10705 can be cut down to fit and perform the same job

Heh. Rig rite. I ordered a part from them 4 years ago and followed up with 7 phone calls. I predict it will arrive shortly after my heirs are too old to sail.


Their web site is best understood as a source of ideas rather than a list of things that can actually be ordered.

Standard eye jaw toggle as seen here. Rigging Only is a great source and their rigging services are the best I’ve dealt with. Rig Rite is a disaster and has been for years.

I have had multiple downright pleasant experiences with Rigging Only that involved me sending them money and receiving parts.

Rigging Only does seem more reliable, but the fitting in the image looks weak compared to what is described on Rig Rite. I had called R.O. for help with building stays but they're too busy for my schedule goals. Fingers crossed with Rig Rite for now

Have you tried Pacific Seacraft in North Carolina? They are doing refits and may have a solution. Cruised on my Crealock 37 for 10 years, great boat, missed it after selling it.

I had an ok experience with RigRite.
The part shipped 2 days after I placed the order and arrived 1 day later to Maine.
They don't respond to emails.
They are not particularly helpful on the phone, but they do answer about 75% of the time during normal business hours.
The part is dimensionally accurate to their description to within thousandths of an inch.
There are some die marks on the bend that aren't wonderful, but also probably not the weak point of this particular part.
The price and shipping are slightly high, but nothing crazy for this industry.
Overall, I'm satisfied.
Old on top, new on bottom.
