Lightbulb Hanging line organization

Looking for ideas and suggestions for how to clean up my sail locker, specifically the dock lines and other lines that lay around in there. I have seen some slick setups with hooks and bungees. Vinyl straps would probably be perfect, as I could screw those into a piece of wood adhered to the wall.

What do you all have?

Re: Hanging line organization

Thanks, this was helpful. I am leaning towards gluing a block to the inside of the locker and mounting a few of these on it https://defender.com/en_us/barton-line-tamer or https://defender.com/en_us/schaefer-...line-holder-hh

Re: Hanging line organization

We have a pretty large and deep locker with 4-5 largish hooks, then we coil lines so they have a hanging loop (there are various ways to do this) and just hang them on the hooks. We can get 3-4 lines on each hook, with the ones we use most at the front. We also have ropes with loops on each bucket so we can lower them down into the locker and drop the loop over a hook for easy retrieval.

Ok that’s a pretty elegant and flexible solution. Any photos of the hooks by chance?

Re: Hanging line organization

I'll try and remember to take some next time I'm at the boat. They are nothing special and the previous owner set it up, so I can't claim credit for the idea
