Good full service Rigger between NYC and NC?

Hi folks,

Do you have a recommendation for a good full service Rigger between New York City and Beaufort North Carolina?

I am not looking for a cheapy, but a good full service rigging company.

I am definitely not doing the job myself. There's so things I will do and others I will not. Rigging I want a good job by a pro

Strongly recommend Mike Meer at Port Annapolis Marina in Annapolis
Won't be the cheapest but world class yard and rigging shop

Mark,
Just 2 hours east of NYC/Hudson River in Manhasset Bay on western most Long Island sound you will find Dave James (Rigging Locker) 516-883-3756, well respected by both cruisers and racers here for many years.
Also Manhasset Bay very protected, good anchorage with all services, wm, restaurants,
etc...and train direct to mid town N.Y.C. in 35 minutes.
Probably not the most inexpensive, but surely a Pro.

I was really happy with price, quality and speed in Oriental, NC. I own a ketch and it was a great experience. There are two yards, either was good.

Great! Thanks for those.
Its the second recommendation to Dave James at Rigging Locker. Certainly in the right place.

Thanks for everyone's help

I just used Collin for our 36' tri - he works on all numbers of hulls - and he took it from mast down, replaced shrouds, and commissioned the boat at Hartge Yacht Harbor. I cannot recommend him highly enough; he'd be available all along the Chesapeake from West River up to Baltimore, I'd guess. Let him know I referred him!

Hey Mark,
Is your reason for re rigging stateside because your going back in the summer and you are being laid up anyway or are their other benifits to getting it done there? I'm asking because we are mulling over the same thoughts. R

Give Mike (Meer) a pass. Basically double charged me me on a rigging job and only by kicking and screaming did he lower the bill. In that neighborhood, I highly recommend Jay at Annapolis Rigging.

If you are quick you could get it done before you have to leave by FKG in St Maartin.

Re: Good full service Rigger between NYC and NC?

We have had incredible good service from some really knowledgable guys at Deltaville Boat Yard -- they really know their stuff and all the guys there must go through education on a continual basis or they don't work there-

we have had work done there and can not be more pleased with the work --

good luck

I'll second the Oriental vote. There is a gentleman at Sailcraft Service boatyard named Mark- excellent rigger.
