Goiot Windlass Maintenance
Just got a Goiot 308 manual windlass, but need to change the gypsey to my chain size.
To do this, the base plate with the integral chain stripper must first be removed .Before I use more brute force to split away the base, can anyone give any insight into doing this ? Also, is the lubricant inside the casing liquid, perhaps gear lube, or is it heavy grease ?
