Goiot Tradition Hatch

Hello,

I would like to get a local company to replace the acrylic on our Goiot Tradition Series hatches.

Don't suppose anyone has the cutout as a DXf or CAD file already?

Cheers,

AL

Contact AB Windows in Pukekohe 021536366. Or do it yourself and get new lens in the material of your choice from someone like Macplas in Wairau Valley. Don’t you still have the original lenses? Apparently the right silicone is Dow Corning 795 Neutral Silicone product id 28-DC795W.

Re: Goiot Tradition Hatch

Hi guys

Thanks for the replies. I'm happy with how to do it and where. I asked about the CAD or DXF as then I could have the old prespex removed and put the new one in (which would already be cut) in one go.

Cheers

Al

I don't know of any. You could try Goiot in France if they have anything like what you're looking for. Good luck either way, Al!

Re: Goiot Tradition Hatch

I let local glass company do it and the hatches leaked within 6 months. I used 1/2" lexan. The PITA part is that 1/2" lexan does not come tinted and I had to buy 4'x8' panel which was around 700$. I got to use the rest of lexan for other stuff. This year i did them myself and used Dow 795. If you get the old plexiglass out, you can use it as pattern. cutting lexan is not a big deal with a decent jigsaw.

Re: Goiot Tradition Hatch

For future reference for anyone else:

Goiot Tradition Series hatch uses 12.5mm (1/2 inch) thick cast acryllic.

I have done a CAD drawing of the cut-out, NOT TESTED YET.

Has anyone used tempered glass for a hatch BTW?
