Fixed Bowsprit with Anchor Roller

Hello everyone, we are looking for a fixed bowsprit with an integrated anchor roller to add to our new to us Salona 38.

I like the way the new X-Yachts look, or the Båtsystem bowsprit.

Does anyone know of a few options?

Not looking for the Trogear style.

The usual reasons, get the chute a litter further forward, easier boarding from the bow.

I've never liked a "captive" anchor; preferring an open-ended roller.

I'm definitely not opposed to that style. Do you know any manufacturers?

Looks like that boat was never setup with even an anchor roller.

That is a job for a custom fabricator.

It has an existing anchor roller.

You would have to remove the existing roller and build a sprit in, with a new roller in the sprit. Lot's of stainless/grp/etc work needed.

OK so we will have to stick with the style gordmay suggested or the Batsystems one.

That boat would be well suited to the moveable sprit used for light air sails only. If you don't need to move the center of effort forward for all your other sailing, a fixed bowsprit doesn't seem like an appropriate choice for this boat. Plus, if you put a movable one in place -- you can vary the location side to side as well as fore and aft. All over better and preferred IMO. We have an 11 ft bowsprit (boat is 54' on deck) and luckily it retracts for docking. We need it for all but heavy weather sailing though.

There are a few companies making what you are looking for, but typically, they are called bow sprit swim platforms. Try to google that, and I think a few more choices will pop up.

OK I have no experience with a Salona, but I did have experience with a Downeaster 38 with a roller on the bowsprit, and although I never saw it break even on one particularly rough night, if it were me, I would not trust a roller out on a bowsprit in a really rough anchorage. I would say it is fine if the strain is taken up by a snubber, say from a strong fitting down on the bow, perhaps at the waterline. But that is just me.

I appreciate the response, but, I'm not looking for a moveable bowsprit. I race on a boat with one, it's great for that, but it clogs up the deck and doesnt help with boarding from the bow.
