Franzika,
My cat is similar to your in size anyway. Can't find any good sail data on yours.
Mine is a cruising cat not a fast cat. Because of that I don't worry so much about getting that final 1/10 of a
knot out of her. Weight aloft is useless on any
boat. I am partway through changing to
dyneema standing
rigging except for the forestay for the
roller furler. Also tossed out the 4kw genset in favor of 1080 watts of
solar and
Lifepo4 batteries.
I'm using all double braid at the moment. Have and am still considering
dyneema lines (especially for the Asym) and thought about it for reefing.
The weight savings is not a factor for reefing lines. I do like the slipperiness of dyneema for part of the line so splicing into double braid so I can run them through my clutches is the way for me to go.
I had not thought of you idea of loops. Pretty clever. I think it could
work. Let us know how you do.
