Barlow 16 winch parts,

does anyone know where I can get parts for Barlow winches, found overseas, but due to shiping costs for a small part would like to see if I could get parts here in the states, need a retaining plunger for a Barlow 16, Barlow part number is 01-329

Re: Barlow 16 winch parts,

I think Hutton Arco in Australia are the only source in the world?

HUTTON-ARCO Yacht Winches

I have found them good to deal with (all my winches are Barlow).

Re: Barlow 16 winch parts,

Thanks for the info, I was hoping maybe some place closer to avoid high shiping cost for a small item,
guess I will have to go with them

Re: Barlow 16 winch parts,

Boeing, for small parts they should be able to put them into a padded envelope and send via Australia Post... only a few bucks, reasonable service.

Cheers,

Jim

Re: Barlow 16 winch parts,

i have found The Aussie Co. hard to deal with, they never answer emails.
They are suppose to als handle out of production parts for Barlow, Barient and Maxwel.
I would not count on very good customer service from them, That's my experience anyways
Some Lewmar springs will kinda work in old Barlow or Barient winches

Good Luck & Happy Sailing

Re: Barlow 16 winch parts,

Thanks for my reply, I did send them a e-mail on what part I need, They did answer my e-mail, but they did not carry the part I needed, and had no suggestions on where I could find one. They did e-mail a parts break down of the winch.
