Who makes West Marine's Fresh Water Pumps?

My Shurflo extreme kicked the bucket and I need to purchase a new pump.
My dishes are piling high.
I am going inside now to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Yuck!

Thanks

Re: Who makes West Marine's Fresh Water Pumps?

I think he's asking if the WM pump is a good one as he has found a WM store and maybe the WM pump is best priced?
I'd install a manual pump of some kind too so when this happens when there is no WM it's not so much a hassle

Re: Who makes West Marine's Fresh Water Pumps?

If he's asking who makes a WM water pump I would think he wants one. As there are several WM stores near him and he can figure out how to use a keyboard, he can ask them.
If he's living on a sailboat and cannot figure out how to get water into his sink to do dishes, and is reduced to eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, he has other more serious problems.

Xylem private lables the Worst Marine Pump....or at least they do until Worst Marine copies the design and has them made in China, like they have done with dozzens of other products!

Marine Pumps – Pumps – Xylem

Re: Who makes West Marine's Fresh Water Pumps?

If it helps I can get a pump to you on Tuesday. I would ship it on Monday.
regular UPS ground service from Miami.
I think my prices are pretty good also.

Ain't cheap, but I'm partial to the Jabsco diaphragm pump myself, seems to last a lot longer

I believe the same company that makes Jabsco also makes the West Marine brand pump. I believe they also make the rule pump so either way not a bad product.

Yep...Xylem makes Jabsco, Surflo and Rule pumps.
We have an OEM account with them since we use their pump as a boost pump for our water makers.

Re: Who makes West Marine's Fresh Water Pumps?

Thanks smj and third day!
That's exactly what I asking. What pump brand is allowing west marine to put their name on. If it were say the shurflo brand name I'd likely shy away from purchasing the WM pumps.
I appreciate your understanding of my question and I'm not sure why I was rudely attacked by Lorenzo b or whoever
Did I come across rude or something? If so it wasn't intended.

Also hopcar, I forgot you offered pumps. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have a look. I always have good experiences when dealing with your store.

Thanks

😊

"Yep...Xylem makes Jabsco, Surflo and Rule pumps."
One small correction, Xylem makes Jabsco, FloJet, Rule and some others.
They don't make ShurFlo. I think it's a company called Pentair that makes ShurFlo and Sherwood pumps.

Endoftheroad I remember you sent me some pictures of one of your boats hauled out last time I sent you something.

Re: Who makes West Marine's Fresh Water Pumps?

Incredible memory.
That was the westsail.
Now it's the Herreshoff 28 in the yard.
They forgot to put palm trees in the boatyard. There isn't any shade. Or breeze in my spot. It's killin me.

My pleasure. She's a glass hull, all teak and bronze with an impressive bluewater pedigree. Cutter rigged, new yanmar 20hp and loaded with sails including tan barks. Previous English owner spent a lot of time in East Africa and a couple transatlantics. Lead balast keel, keel stepped mast, bronze dorades, manual bronze windless, full galley with gimballing oven, and a beautifull interior, sails like a work of art. The fellow knew us from here in Key West and wanted us to be her next caretakers and gave us an amazing deal.
My wife insisted we buy her about 8 months ago.
She's currently in the yard getting barrier coated and topsides painted by myself at my leasure as we work humble full time jobs.

We love this boat.

In the first picture there must be a sailboat next to the H28 as it appears to have roller furlers.
