White froth and minty smell in drinking water

Hi this is my first post so here goes
I have recently started to get a temporary white froth and slightly minty smell from the first 1/2 pint or so of water from my cold taps. If i let it run longer it clears and is fine. The taste is ok. If you fill the kettle with this water the smell remains. I have a Jabsco Aqua Filta on my galley sink tap but not on the feed to the sink in the heads and both seem to have this issue. My tanks are plastic. I have used Aqua Sol treatment added while filling the tanks in the past but not for the last two fill ups as I ran out.
Any ideas please?

pour some bleach in your water tank, top off, let it sit for a bit, drain and refill. No idea what is causing your issue, but thats a good way to clean your water tank. We usually just put a cap full of bleach in when leaving the boat occasionally, we always leave it full of water, no air, and drain it on return to fill with fresh. Never have any issues.

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Andypids.

Interesting. I don’t recall ever smelling anything, that had no taste.

I think you need to make some more observations of what is happening as the info so far seems contradictory. If the bad water comes from multiple faucets that would indicate it is not in the faucet, filter, or nearby piping. However if it clears up after a 1/2 pint is run then that would indicate it is in the faucet or nearby. Try lookin at things in a different way than you have been so far and see what you can learn.
