Whale Gusher Titan Manual Bilge Pump
Dear cruisers,
well, it was operable last weekend and doesn't want to
work
this weekend. Pulled it apart, checked componentry etc.
it seems the flat on the 'seat' within the
pump
does not want to 'sit' .... does anyone know how long these should last in a saltwater
environment
?
Thanks

Re: Whale Gusher Titan Manual Bilge Pump
Whale recommends replacing the
diaphragm
every 3 years. Mine has been going fine for a lot longer than that.

Re: Whale Gusher Titan Manual Bilge Pump
They often do not prime without regular use. The flapper valve do not seal tight enough. I have poured
water
into the
hull
outlet and gotten the the valves working ... the
pump
started. They thrive on regular use.
