Whale Gusher Mk3 parts kit

Hi All,

We got the parts kit to service the whale gusher mk3 foot pump. I can't see how to pull this bit of the pump apart to replace the black rubber bit inside (I have the part).

There is a flat side and a concaved side of the valve assembly, the centre cartwheel pulls out of the flat side of the valve assembly, please see attached photo.
The centre is pressed in, but they are removeable. I have tried to illustrate on the image below the outer diameter of the centre cartwheel.
To remove the centre I use a pair of 90° circlip pliers that I hook round the centre point of the cartwheel and pull the cartwheel out.
There is an o-ring around the outer edge of the cartwheel, just be careful not to nip it on reassembly.
