West Marine 315 grill - burner tube

I have a west marine 315 grill mounted on the aft rail. Nice grill with a large main cooking surface. I had to tweak the regulator up a bit (open up the needle valve relative to the knob position) to make sure it would stay lit on very windy anchorages.

Now it appears the burner tube has failed. The original welded/brazed seam ran along the top and has split open on the end.

WM and the manufacturer are of no help except to recommend I buy their new and improved (smaller) model.

I'd like to replace both the regulator and the burner tube with a higher rated setup.

Anyone know of any sources? Or should I just weld the original back into one piece?
