Watermaker Oil Change

Where would I look for synthetic plunger pump oil? The local auto parts store has never heard of it. Prefer to source it locally to avoid shipping charges for oil.
Is there any consensus on oil change intervals? I have an Aqua Pro Pump with a titanium head (Sea Quencher SQM 200 watermaker) and the various instructions that came with the watermaker and others using the same pump vary from 300 hours, 500 hours to once a year or whenever it looks cloudy. I have been doing it between approximately 300-400 hours and the oil always looks clean.

Re: Watermaker Oil Change

Talked with Parker in Ft Lauderdale this morning, there is no place nearby to source this oil so they are mailing some to me. Shipping was not as bad as I feared, about $14 for 2 and the cost of the oil was $19/quart. Was also advised that if I could not get the right oil full synthetic Royal Purple 10w40 could be used from an auto parts store.

Parker is recommending service intervals of 500 hours or annually, whichever comes first.

Thanks for the link,Tellie.
