Water Tankage Questions for 1983 Bristol 35.5

Our 1983 B35.5 has approximately 100 gal total water capacity in two ss tanks(under v-berth and midship under cabin sole). Does anyone know the exact capacity of each tank? Secondly, has anyone upgraded the original overflow system for each tank? Both of our's overflow directly into the bilge. Had thought about splicing both lines into the overboard thruhull for the foredeck anchor locker(not a good idea because of possible contamination). Then thought about splicing somehow into footpump sink faucet side (not pressurized faucet side). Our old Sabre28 had something like this system so we knew when the tanks were topped off.

Why do you think the tank(s) need an "overflow"?
Storage tanks must be "vented" overboard (above heeled waterline).

I know a lot of the Pearson's water tanks vent inside the boat. Personally I like this better than venting outside the boat. Less chance of contamination and a couple less holes to outside. Only downside really is you have to pay attention when filling the tanks.

Interesting. My '81 Bristol 35.5Centerboard has 2 tanks as well - 1 under the V-Verth and 1 beneath the quarterberth on the port side. I also believe that I have about 100 gal capacity, but do not have any idea how much each one is. I do not know how they are vented (or if) - I stop filling when I can hear the water come up in the fill as I add it.
