Water heater

Bought the replacement water heater and am going to remove the old one while waiting for the new one to arrive. I was thinking of rigging a bypass to the engine intake and outtake heat exchanger hoses as well as the water heater intake and outtake hoses. That way I can keep sailing while waiting for the new water heater. Any feedback?

Re: Water heater

Well, I might just cap off the two engine cooling hoses so your not bypassing too much water around the engine heat exchanger.

The hot and cold water piping can be connected together, no problems there.

Got the new heater just about in. Had to modify all of the fittings, of course. Added a shut-off valve before the cold intake. Thanks for the advice.
