Unknown Toilet?

Hello,
I got marine toilet without any manufacturer identifications. It looks like Jabsco, but there are differences, Can anyone recognize this product?
Thanks, Mladen

Could be Groco.

Re: Unknown Toilet?

Maybe.
it actually looks as Jabsco, except upper part of pump..

I think that could be Jabsco older model, or some kinnd of Jabsco replika.

I THINK this might be it: Raske en Van Der Meyde, Marine Toilets

They're a Dutch company (which would make sense for a boat in Croatia) that makes "budget" equipment.

If that's not it, what does the writing on the top of your pump say?

Re: Unknown Toilet?

Whatever it is, you need to get rid of the clear water hose on the intake (clear water hose isn't rated for below-waterline connections, which is where your intake thru-hull is)...and the corrugated discharge hose needs to go too...corrugated hose isn't rated for santitation use, it'll stink in record time and solids, TP and sea water minerals will get caught in the corrugations, resulting in buildup that traps stuff even better. Use ONLY sanitation hoses for both the flush water intake and toilet discharge.

Re: Unknown Toilet?

Are you trying to repair it? The base really looks a lot like a Jabsco base. It may be a close enough copy that a Jabsco pump would work on it. We'd need to compare the distances between the pump mounting holes.
Jabsco Toilet Pump - 29040-3000

Another option would be to reuse your bowl and replace both base and pump. That bowl is a very common marine toilet bowl and there are many bases and pumps that can be used with it.

If you're interested in going electric, the Raritan Sea Era has a great reputation.

Oh yeah, Buy Peggie's book.

Wink Re: Unknown Toilet?

Hello guys, thank You all for you efforts. I've got this toilet as a kind of gift, with those hoses installed, "as is". I've been told that the unit has been serviced and should be ready for installation. I did not test it yet.
About writing on the top of the pump: There is title "TOILET MANUAL", and yes, in much smaller letters, "Made in Italy". I did nod see that letters before (glasses helps alot). There are also instructions for pump function switch: "To Flush" and "To dry bowl", both in english and Italian language. Thanks Peghall!
And about pump screw distances, they are 70 X 42 mm, really looks like Jabsco imitation.
