Stuck Speed log puck

Does anyone have a suggestion how to remove a stuck speed paddle puck for cleaning? It's been several months since it was removed last, and I can't get it to move now. Really don't want to screwup and have an inch and a quarte hole in the boat.

usually just a good wiggle will get it moving. presumably you have the plug to replace the paddle wheel with ?

most modern through hulls are also fitted with a non-return flap these days...cuts down the water ingress while making the swap
