spill over fan and thermostat

Installing a thermostat controlled fan to pull air around cold plate to control refer temp. Looking on line see a lot of inexpensive thermostats but not a clear best in class. Very interested to know what has worked well in this application

I use this one, works very well and holds temp exactly. I’ve verified it’s accuracy and it’s spot on. The turn on and off points are adjustable, I have mine set at 37 and 34.

hope you checked the cable length for the probe and got a long one

BTW - I have one that looks almost exactly the same, big improvement to the old mechanical unit

I extended the probe wiring, seems to still be accurate if you didn’t.
However they are often sold as either F or C temp read out, some can be changed, others not.
If and or when my mechanical thermostat goes out, I plan on using one of these as they are a fraction of the price

When doing my spillover refrigeration unit I was faced with spending a couple of hundred dollars for a local one or spending $20 for a cheapie like the one in the link. I decided to buy 2 cheapies just in case. 5 years later and the original is still going with the backup still in the packet. I also installed a small computer fan 1" to move the air for about $8. Bought a spare as well and it too is still in the packet. Makes up for all the other stuff that fails prematurely somewhat.
